Susannah Pfeifer
Owner/Hair Stylist
Susannah purchased Salon Nouveau Vous in March 2022 after working as a stylist with the salon for over 10 years. Her vision is to create a salon culture unlike any other for clients and employees. “A salon where stylists and technicians of all levels and talents collaborate with one another to achieve amazing results for their clients, that’s what I want.” Education driven; she brings in educators multiple times throughout the year for her team along with contributing to their own educational goals outside of the salon.
Susannah started her career in 2006. She attended school in Traverse City at the TBA School of Cosmetology and has since continued her training with countless industry leading educators focusing on color formulating technique, and the Vidal Sassoon Team, focusing on hair cutting and styling. “I am enthusiastic about learning new skills and being challenged. I strive to attain my client’s happiness and take pride in the work I do.” Susannah enjoys working with all hair types and specializes in creative color and cutting.
Tim Dunaway
Hair Stylist
Tim graduated with honors from the Carsten Institute of Cosmetology, after graduation he went to work and assisted Carsten himself while being taught the French haircutting technique perfected by Bruna Pittini of Paris, an exclusive technique used only by the elite top stylists in the World.
Tim has also done extensive classes with the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Toronto Canada, first in 2006 and secondly in 2010.
He has participated in the master class at the Aveda institute with Oscar Bond and his team in New York City, along with the Van Council Team from Atlanta Georgia.
Tim supports his career with 3 licenses of Michigan, Arizona and Florida.
Tim believes education is key for a successful salon, and is proud to work alongside the best hairstylists in Petoskey.
Hailey Houfbauer
Hair Stylist/Nail Technician
Hailey has been a hairdresser since 2016. She Graduated from MJ Murphy, a partnered Paul Mitchell school. She has taken a Vidal Sassoon course in Atlanta, and volunteered at Pantene Pro Loinks, working with their hair donations. Hailey has also worked with Northwoods on hair and makeup for their annual fashion show.
She loves meeting new people and making them feel as beautiful as they truly are.
Hailey has an English Bulldog named Jackson, he loves to sing with her to their favorite band Heart. Hailey also loves piano, art, and cozy book reading.
Madison Alden
Hair Stylist / Nail Technician

Originally from Northern Michigan, I lived in St. Louis for 9 years, graduating in 2016 from Paul Mitchell the School, St. Louis, and now I’m back! I’m a mental health advocate and a strong believer that your hair should reflect who you are, not hide who you are. My goal is to leave you feeling uplifted, relaxed, and more confident than you’ve ever felt before.
I see my role as your stylist a bit differently than others may. I work together with all of my guests to create a long-term hair care plan to ensure their cut, color, and style always look fresh and there won’t ever be a time you feel bored or stuck in a routine. I am super passionate about my career and I always take my time to get to know you, your personality, and your lifestyle before we begin.
When I am not in the salon I am often cuddled up with my two sweet puppers, Dexter and Arlo, or going on some sort of adventure with my fiance, Samarah. I also have a not-so-secret addiction to coffee and book so if you too are a coffee connoisseur or a reading lover, be ready to trade recipes and books!
Angie Caddell
Stylist / Nail Technician
Beginning in October of 2021, Angie has dedicated her time and skill with the team at Salon Nouveaus Vous as an apprentice. In March of 2022, Angie completed the required training to perform all nail services and in April of 2023, she completed the requirements to perform all salon services. Angie will complete her state required training in October of 2023, and be eligible to take her licensing exams.
Angie’s passion to deliver well thought out services and her attention to detail has attracted a dedicated clientele who trust and delight in her abilities. She has already received her certification with CND shellac and CND plexigel, as she has attended two in person and hands on classes with industry leading Laurie Allore (CND education ambassador). Cementing her education in color, Angie has explored Davines’ certified online product knowledge and color theory classes. She loves the creativity color allows her, creating rich, dimensional, and vibrant colors.
Looking forward, Angie is excited to continue her education by attending hair cutting classes from industry leaders such as Sam Villa and the Hattori Hanzo company.
Angie has become our resident plant mom, so don’t hesitate to bring in pictures of your babies or ask for helpful tips and tricks to keep everyone growing healthy. You will see her beautiful additions everywhere you look in the salon! Angie has two cats, Duchess and Yoda, she curls up with when not working or playing in dirt.

Tammy Carter
Hair Stylist
Tammy, a master stylist with over 30 years of experience, excels in crafting hairstyles that harmonize with your natural texture, face shape, and lifestyle. She aims to make styling your new look both fun and effortless daily. Her extensive training includes sessions with Sassoon in New York and Toronto, as well as Davines in Chicago and Rome, equipping her with a profound expertise in cutting and coloring techniques. Tammy specializes in short and curly hairstyles and has a passion for creating natural, dimensional color.
When she’s not in the salon, Tammy’s either gardening, volunteering at the humane society, working on her latest home project, doing yoga, snapping photos, or hanging out by the water.
